Shetland- a land with mystical sunlight, where the water is cobalt blue against the stony shore, and most of the people you meet are knitters, we bought this Shetland fiber. We had seen gossamer shawls knit with Shetland wool in the museums and had visited old knitters who still made them. We got to handle it and experiment with it. Not only was it soft, but we also knew that it would go well with our alpaca, and so we combined them to make a special, memorable yarn. It is lovely. Go and make memorable things with it (and visit Shetland someday).
